2/04/2004 13:57 Kowaliga Rd Structure EFD dispatched while returning to the station from the Neman Rd grass fire.  The fire was in the mobile home portion of a mobile home/stickbuilt hybrid structure.  The mobile home portion suffered very heavy damage.  EFD was assisted by the Seman FD and Wetumpka assistant chief Greg Willis, who happened to be working in the area.  Thanks guys!

2/21/2004 15:16 Mt. Zion Rd Grass/Woods Fire in a pasture and wooded area.  Caused by subject burning debris in a 55 gallon drum.
2/21/2004 16:28 Emfinger Rd Grass/Woods Fourth fire call of the afternoon.  Fortunately, this was a permitted controlled burn reported as a wildfire by a passing motorist.  No service needed.
2/22/2004 12:52 Birmingham Rd Grass/Woods Mutual aid call from Kowaliga FD.  Wildfire threatening several homes and involving several derelict vehicles.
2/22/2004 13:26 Governor's Island Rd Grass/Woods Second wildfire occured in Kowaliga FD's area during the Birmingham Rd fire.  EFD brush 822 and six personnel responded from Birmingham Rd along with Kowaliga tanker 1112 and two personnel.   Fire was alongside the lakeshore and contained inside a break using hand tools.
2/22/2004 17:10 Eclectic Middle School Grass Fire in a landscaped island in the parking lot.  The fire destroyed several shrub bushes and damaged three small trees.  This fire was almost certainly an act of vandalism.

5/21/2004 17:02 East Skipper Rd Tree fire Lightning struck and ignited a tree.  Sadly, the same strike also killed two of the resident's dogs.
5/21/2004 17:12 Pleasant Hill Rd Tree in roadway The same storm involved in the East Skipper incident downed a tree and blocked the roadway.
5/26/2004 12:33 Georgia Rd Oil spill A large quantity of what appeared to be motor oil was spilled in the roadway.  The responsible party had fled the scene.  The scene was secured and the spill contained.  Actual cleanup was performed by the Alabama Department of Transportation.

6/26/2004 09:20 West College St Structure Workers fixing a sewage line under the house ignited a natural gas leak.  Fire self-extinguished when the gas was turned off.
7/03/2004 21:15 Georgia Rd Grass Very small grass fire.  Extinguished by EPD officer and EFD units cancelled enroute.
7/06/2004 10:35 Chana Creek Rd Grass Approximately 5 acre grass fire started by sparks from a bush hog.
7/06/2004 16:18 Walk-in Medical Subject burned when he opened a hot radiator cap.  The subject ran one block to the fire station for assistance.
