Welcome to the Eclectic Fire Department. We are a volunteer department located in the town of Eclectic, Alabama (about 25 miles north of Montgomery).  Our fire district covers approximately 50 square miles of central Elmore County and is made up of mostly rural and residential areas.  We operate out of a single station located behind city hall on First Avenue.  Our ISO rating is 6/9.

In addition to fire protection, our department provides first response medical service to the citizens of the Eclectic area.  In 2007, our department responded to over 337 calls for assistance.

NEWS AND NOTES

On 02/22/08 the Eclectic Fire Department was awarded a grant totaling $42,370.00 for Operations and Safety from the Assistance to Firefighters Grant. The grant will be used to help the Fire Department purchase 10 sets of structural firefighting gear and 30 sets of wild land firefighting gear.
